Academic writing is such a type of writing generally done for a specific audience including some rules, patterns and restrictions for the writer in order to be followed. By implementing them, the writer and as well as the reader, will be satisfied by the final product. Thus, for a more reliable piece of work, there are some specific features by following them, the writer ensures the reader for its comprehension.
       As a rule Academic writing uses formal vocabulary which makes the writing more formal. Generally it means that there should be avoided colloquial words and expressions because they can be play different roles in the text. Moreover, there shouldn't be used stylistic devices because the reader might not understant the irony and the whole text looses its main meaning.
       Besides the formal vocabulary, the language used is mostly objective than subjective. It's aim is to inform the reader rather than to entertain. And if being an informative one, it should reveal a piece of information based on certain arguments that disclose one central point or theme. That's why, there is no need of using emotive language  in such texts in order not to misleading the reader.
       Another important characteristics of Academic writing which joins hand in hand are precision and explicitness. Naturally, whatever the information is given, it should be a precise one and there have to be evidences proving the stated facts. The writer has to base on specific backgrounds by giving lucid arguments.
      Appart from these, the whole written text must be coherent from the point of view of structure. Each paragraph must consist of Topic Sentence, which is an oveviewof  the main idea of what is going to be developed further. Then comes Supporting Sentences - the second part of the paragraph providing details to support the topic. The last sentence is going to be the Concluding one that summarizes the whole paragraph.
      Overall, the writer should be carefull while writing academically. The specific vocabulary, patterns and paragraph structure have to be taken into consideration in order to produce a valuable work.
      

            A new course in English is always eagerly awaited and arouses a lot of expectations. First of all, as it is English it is already an interesting and an important course for me. Secondly, if it deals with Academic Writing, I hope it will increase my writing skills, which is my high point. I also guess the course will be based on certain rules (grammatical, syntactical, stylistical) to be followed in order to achieve the set goal. Moreover, I suppose there won't be as many difficulties as I think because of the teacher's method of teaching and the way she motivates me to work. Finally,I strongly believe, after all, my pieces of writing will be coherent, correct and the ideas will be arranged thoughtfully. 

                   Writing is a skill and a mean of putting down the thoughts by using language. It is both challenging and helpfull especially for students who are teachers to be. It envolves student's attention, memory and hard working which are the most important tools to succeed. Within the writing tasks, there should be followed some rules of scheming, analysing and rewriting the drafts. Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I think this course will be based on improving our writing skills by using of different methods, topics and vocabulary due to which the tasks will be interesting. It will help us to avoid errors in puntuation, grammar and spelling. Moreover, it will increase the interest in students through motivation. I strongly believe that this course will improve on my writing skills.
